At Legacy Academy, we use My Father’s World as our required curriculum for all ages and grade levels. We have chosen this curriculum because it is Christ-centered, academically strong, and intentionally weaves biblical truth throughout every subject. Our desire is for students not only to grow in knowledge, but to learn to see the world through the lens of God’s Word.
Because Legacy Academy is a hybrid homeschool co-op, students are expected to stay on track with their assigned lessons each week, both on campus and at home. Parents are welcome to add to the curriculum in ways that best serve their child and family, but all students will be expected to complete and remain current with the required My Father’s World material. This helps us maintain consistency, accountability, and a unified learning experience across the academy.
My Father’s World describes its approach as a combination of Charlotte Mason ideas, hebraic classical education, unit studies, and literature-rich learning, all taught through a biblical worldview. It is designed to help children grow not only in knowledge, but in their ability to see the world through the lens of God’s Word.
One of the strengths of My Father’s World is that it provides structured, pre-planned lessons with a strong emphasis on Bible integration, hands-on learning, quality literature, and a family-centered approach. The curriculum uses one primary teacher’s manual to guide the parent or teacher through the subjects, and it is designed to make teaching more manageable while still offering a rich and meaningful education. My Father’s World also places a high value on excellent books, read-alouds, and recommended literature that support what students are learning across history, geography, science, and Bible.
My Father’s World organizes its curriculum in a way that supports both strong academics and a distinctly Christian worldview. Its scope and sequence emphasizes helping students grow through stages of learning while keeping God at the center, and the curriculum is specifically built to be usable for families, co-ops, microschools, and other small-group learning environments.
