What We Believe
At Legacy Academy, we believe that God has given parents the primary responsibility to teach, disciple, and train their children in His ways. Scripture says, “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children” (Deuteronomy 6:4-7, NKJV). We believe this passage shows both the heart of biblical discipleship and the order God established for it: His truth first filling the hearts of His people, then being taught faithfully to the next generation.
When this passage begins with “Hear, O Israel,” we understand it as a call to the people of God as a whole. Parents are the primary disciplors of their children, but they were never meant to carry that calling in isolation. We believe the church should come alongside families, encouraging them, strengthening them, and helping them keep Christ at the center of their homes and their children’s education. In that way, a community of believers supporting parents in Christ-centered education is one way we seek to embody the spirit of Deuteronomy 6.
We also believe that education is never neutral. What children are taught shapes how they think, what they love, and how they understand the world. Because of that, we believe education should be rooted in biblical truth and centered on Christ. Our desire is not simply to help children gain knowledge, but to help them grow in wisdom, character, and faith as they learn to see every subject and every part of life through the lens of God’s Word.
What We Do
Legacy Academy is a Christ-centered hybrid homeschool co-op that meets two days each week from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with specific meeting days to be announced soon. We partner with homeschooling families by providing structured community learning days while parents continue their child’s education at home during the rest of the week. Students in kindergarten through 5th grade are placed in age-appropriate multi-age learning pods, creating a warm and collaborative environment where children can grow academically, socially, and spiritually. We also offer a preschool class for children ages 2 and up who have a sibling enrolled in our K-5 program. Our goal is to come alongside families with a Christ-centered community that supports both discipleship and learning.
What We Cost
At Legacy Academy, we anticipate tuition to be approximately $200 per month, per child. This amount is still being finalized as we carefully consider the needs of the co-op and work to keep the program as affordable and sustainable as possible for families. Final tuition details will be shared as soon as they are confirmed.
We are also prayerfully seeking parents and other purpose-driven adults who may be interested in serving as learning pod leaders for our student groups. These positions would be financially compensated and would play an important role in helping us create a strong, Christ-centered learning environment for our students. More details about these opportunities will be made available soon.
What We Require
At Legacy Academy, we believe Christ-centered education is a partnership, and parental involvement is non-negotiable. For that reason, all families must be legally homeschooling through either an approved umbrella school or through their own county and state requirements. Proof of legal homeschool registration or enrollment will be required each year for continued participation in the academy.
We also require that all students use My Father’s World curriculum. This helps us maintain consistency, accountability, and unity across our learning pods while keeping Christ at the center of the educational experience. Families are welcome to add to the curriculum at home, but all students will be expected to stay on track with the required lessons.
Because Legacy Academy is built on shared commitment and family partnership, all parents will also be required to serve in some volunteer capacity for their children to be eligible for enrollment. We believe a strong Christ-centered learning community is not built by a few people alone, but by families working together with a shared purpose to support the discipleship and education of the next generation.
