Depending on tryout participants we will have two levels of teams for each grade level. The "Green" teams are an elite team that competes in the AAU tournaments at the highest level of competition from September- July.  The "Grey" Team competes in leagues and Division II AAU tournaments and has a Fall, Winter and Spring season.  Below is a description of the two different levels and why one might be better for your player than the other.

 

4th-8th Grade "A" Level Teams (Green) 

• Season starts in September and ends in July. Season total =$950. Does not include travel expenses.

• 2 practices a week with optional skills and drills sessions.

• Top players are selected for this team.

• Local and travel tournaments.

• Focuses on development with high standards to compete.

• High commitment level with a long season. Ideal for a 1 sport athlete.

• Playing time is earned.

• High school and college readiness with grade checks, tutoring if needed, mentoring, skills and drills practices, a signing day experience.

 

4th-8th Grade "B" Level Teams (Grey)

• 3 Seasons throughout the year. Fall (September-December) Winter (January-March), Spring (April- June) Total per season= $550.

• 2 practices a week with optional skills and drills sessions.

• Talented players with the desire to improve are selected.

• Local leagues and tournaments.

• Focuses on development and basketball IQ

• Shorter seasons for those who may play other sports or who can't make a long season commitment.

• Equal playing time to improve.

• High school and college readiness with grade checks, tutoring if needed, mentoring, skills and drills practices, signing day experience for fall season only.

• Offering "B" level teams depend on tryout attendance for each season.

What is "Signing Day"?

Players will be notified withing 48 hours after tryouts of team placement.  If accepted players will participate in a "Signing Day" about a week after tryouts.  To give players a glimpse into the college and NBA  experience, players who made the "Green Team" or "Fall Grey Team" will sign contracts with "media" presence. Family and players have the opportunity to remember the day by taking pictures in Mega1 gear!  It will also be an introduction to coaches, teammates and family members.  There will be a quick coaches meeting with your team. This will also be the time to get all paperwork turned in, uniform ordered, Mega1 fan gear purchased and required fees paid.
