Legacy
Legacy Sports Academy was birthed in 2014 as Mega1 Sports Academy. In 2020, founder Taneisha Tilque decided on a new direction of the academy that met the needs of its athletes with the changing times that was brought on by Covid-19. With a new business structure, mission, programs, and coaches, Legacy Sports Academy was born.
Founder and Director, Taneisha Tilque started playing volleyball in 5th grade and has been hooked ever since! She graduated from John R. Rogers High School in Spokane, WA earning several team and league awards. She played for Spokane Splash VBC which gave her the opportunity to earn a full ride volleyball scholarship to Fresno State University (D1), which is where she received her BA in Journalism. Today, Taneisha is an elementary PE teacher and high school volleyball coach. She has 11 years experience coaching high school and has coached for 3 years of club volleyball ages 12-18. With her commitment to provide quality programs to the youth, Taneisha was motivated to further her education at Gonzaga University and is expected to graduate in 2021 with a Masters in Sport and Athletic Administration.
